The E-light system combines both RF & IPL technology. First the IPL (intense pulse light) energy is used to preheat the target area which creates a thermal path for the RF (radio frequency) energy to travel. Then the electromagnetic energy RF is delivered directly to the skin or targeted vascular and pigmented lesions. E-light is very effective in the reduction and removal of red vain, pigmentation changes, Acne Rosacea and Acne Vulgaris. E-light produces three times more efficiency than traditional IPL.
E-Light treatments are a gentle process. A thin layer of gel is applied to the skin before the treatment to cool the area and protect the skin. There may be mild discomfort during the treatment, but most patients tolerate it very easily. The first treatment is usually the “zingiest.” As your skin begins to clear, the treatments usually become even more comfortable. Treatments usually take 30-90 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. This treatment is highly effective and the client can return to normal day to day activities immediately following the treatment.

Post-Treatment Care
- Use SPF30+ sun screen daily and avoid any sunbathing for 4 weeks after the treatment
- Use quality mineral make up and if possible for the next few days
- Take Vitamin C and Vitamin E to help with healing
- For a few days after the treatment we do not use soap, alcohol, alcoholic tonics
- Avoid skin irritation in the area around the treatment – must not press and scratch the treated area
- No massage on the treated area within 4-5 days
- Avoid very intensive exercising for the next few days
